I am Peter Williams, an entirely self taught UK artist, working out of my studio on the Suffolk coast where I live with my long term partner Jenny.
Having always had an interest in the natural world I exploit my passion for wildlife, both British and the more exotic as well as scenes inspired by people and places that have influenced me throughout my life.
Whether creating stunning and highly detailed photo-realistic graphite images, blending and diffusing richly pigmented watercolours or working with other media there is always confident composition, intricate detail, dramatic movement and unique vibrancy producing attractive and highly collectible art work.
I have multiple solo exhibitions each year in Suffolk and have developed a large worldwide following of collectors and enthusiasts via the internet.
I was honoured to be short listed for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist Of The Year award in 2010 and 2011.
My paintings have also been published in some of Dorling Kindersley's watercolour workshop books and featured in several magazines and other publications both in the UK and abroad.
More recently I have taken up writing and published my first book 'Blood Sweat and Beer' in 2014. Details of this can be seen on my Mighty Fine Art website where signed copies are available or click on the image below.
